Building Remodelling Project

Objective:

The objective of this project was to remodel and renovate the existing buildings at Victory Park Estate in Lekki, Lagos. Our directive was to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and overall user experience. The project was successfully completed, and the resulting space was a transformed one that met the client's specifications and exceeded industry standards.

Scope of Work:

The general scope of work for this project from start to finish is as follows:

1. Demolition and Preparation
• An initial assessment of the building's existing structure and layout was conducted.
• Selective demolition was executed to remove outdated or non-compliant elements.
• The site was prepared for remodelling activities, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.
2. Architectural Design and Planning
• With the joint efforts of the architects and designers, a comprehensive remodelling plan was created.
• Detailed architectural drawings were developed, specifying changes to layout, materials, and finishes.
• All necessary permits and approvals were obtained from local authorities.
3. Interior and Exterior Upgrades
• Implemented interior upgrades, including new flooring, lighting, and fixtures.
• Upgraded exterior elements, such as windows, doors, and facade improvements.
• Ensured compliance with energy efficiency standards and sustainable building practices.
4. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Systems
• Upgraded or replaced mechanical systems, including HVAC units for improved energy efficiency.
• Updated electrical systems to meet current safety and code requirements.
• Inspected and upgraded plumbing systems to enhance functionality and reduce maintenance needs.
5. Finishes and Decor
• Selected and installed high-quality finishes, including paint, tiles, and other decorative elements.
• Coordinated with interior designers to achieve a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing look.
• Ensured the final finishes align with the client's vision and branding.
6. Quality Assurance and Inspections

At key project milestones, we:

• Conducted regular inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Addressed issues and discrepancies promptly to maintain project timeline and quality.
• Engaged third-party inspactors to validate compliance with building codes and industry standards.
7. Client Walkthrough and Approval
• A final Walkthrough was scheduled with the client to showcase completed remodelling work.
• Client concerns and modifications were addressed.
• We also obtained formal approval from the client upon satisfaction with the completed project.
8. Project Documentation
• Compiled comprehensive documentation, including "as-built" drawings, specifications, and warranties.
• And finally, we delivered a project portfolio showcasing before-and-after images, design concepts, and project highlights.

Project Deliverables

• Completed and remodeled Victory Park Estate buildings with upgraded interiors and exteriors.
