Building Construction Project

Objective:

The project objective was to undertake the construction of a modern and functional 24-flat building, offering a mix of 1- and 2-bedroom apartment units. The client was Backup Properties Ltd. and the site is located at Jibowu, Lagos State. This completed project reflects our commitment to quality construction, contemporary design, and the creation of comfortable living spaces for residents.

Scope of Work:

The outline of the scope of work for this project from concept to completion is as follows:

1. Site Preparation
• We first conducted a comprehensive site analysis and preparation, including clearing and grading.
• Then, we ensured compliance with local zoning regulations and obtained all necessary permits required for construction.
• Following that, we established secure fencing and site safety measures.
2. Foundation and Structural Construction
• Excavation and laying of foundation, ensuring sability and load-bearing capacity.
• Construction of the superstructure using high-quality materials and in accordance with structural engineering specifications.
• Implementation of reinforced concrete framework to meet safety and durability standards.
3. Architectural Design and Finishes
• Collaborating with architects to finalise the design, while incorporating modern aesthetics and functionality.
• Installation of exterior finishes, including cladding, roofing, and landscaping to enhance curb appeal.
• Application of interior finishes, such as flooring, painting, and fixtures, to provide a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.
4. Apartment Unit Construction

At the unit construction phase, we:

• Constructed 1- and 2-bedroom apartment units, optimizing interior layouts for space efficiency.
• Installed modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures, ensuring both aesthetics and functionality.
• Implemented energy-efficient features and soundproofing to enhance the comfort of residents.
5. Utilities and Infrastructure
• Installed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to meet the needs of each apartment unit.
• Implemented energy-efficient lighting and water conservation measures.
• Established connectivity for internet and cable services.
6. Quality Assurance and Inspections
• Conducted regular inspections at key construction phases to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.

• And to round off yet another successful project, we facilitated the handover process, ensuring all necessary documentation, keys, and warranties were provided.
